Bún Chả Ngọc Xuân-102 Thuỵ Khuê

Bún chả is one of Hanoi’s most famous and popular dishes. The ingredients to make this famous dish include special marinated pork which is grilled over charcoal and served with vermicelli, fresh vegetables and sour radish.

One of the most famous bún chả restaurant in Hanoi is Ngoc Xuan restaurant on 102 Thuỵ Khuê. This street is known for housing the best bún chả restaurants in Hanoi. However, I thịnk that bún chả Ngọc Xuân is the best among all the other restaurants.
Ngọc Xuân has a charcoal oven to grill meat right in front of the store. This will guarantee that the grilled pork will be juicy but not too dry. The meat is brought to the guests to enjoy immediately, so it is still hot and delicious.
The restaurant is always crowded, especially when it comes to lunch . With the scorching hot weather of Hanoi, I can not handle sitting under the hot sun to eat anything! Ngọc Xuân restaurant is a life saver. They have air conditioner and fans on the second floor for customers to have the most comfortable atmosphere to enjoy their meal. This is also the reason why people choose this restaurant as oppose to other bún chả restaurants on Thuỵ Khuê street.

Although the price is more expensive than other restaurants, the meat in Ngọc Xuân is abundant. A bowl of meat like this can be shared by two people. The grilled pork is very juicy and tasty, especially the meatballs. I do not normally like meatballs, but these meatballs are irresistible. What make these meatballs special is the fact that they smell delicious and have a hint of lemongrass.
A very delicious side dish that often comes with bún chả are fried spring rolls. The ingredients for spring rolls include pork, vermicelli, shiitake mushrooms, eggs, onions, garlic, and carrots. The spring rolls are also stuffed with shrimp meat, so they are very delicious. Personally, I think the restaurant puts too much pork inside the spring rolls. It would be better if they could add less pork and increase the amount of vermicelli inside.
A meal for 3 people is 295,000 VND, which is nearly 100,000 VND per person. It might be quite expensive but with its wonderful quality, it is worth the price. If you visit Hanoi, this is a restaurant you should try. Note that the shop is only open from 11:00 to 2:00 pm.
